For that drawing, I just set the default Pen tool in SAI to a texture called Noise!

Someone asked me to draw what I think the new panda Pokemon might evolve into, and I can’t say no to that. (◡‿◡✿)
I can see it being both a 2- or 3-stage evolution line, but I’ve only drawn its last stages here! Hopefully the real deal will be way better than these, but I can see its evolution design possibly going down one of three paths:
one) where it embraces the leafy theme as a part of its own body, two) a naughty fighter who uses bamboo sticks, three) a tough and heavy sumo wrestler panda fighter

And actually yeah, I use all sorts of methods! Sometimes before I even start a picture, I visualize just what kinds of colors I want to use, and other times I pick them as I go. Other OTHER times, I’m experimenting around and sometimes I even use palettes from ColourLovers.com. It really all depends on the sort of picturesque mood I’m going for or a certain style I’m trying to do, but I’ll be honest; a lot of the time the colors I end up choosing are just colors that I really like! It’s kinda hard to describe how I pick my colors because sometimes I just pick colors based on how they feel together, and I adjust them or keep them depending on if they feel… right? A huge part about colors for me is “feeling” them and their harmony, and if something feels jarring and interrupts their flow, then I usually can tell that something’s off. I-I‘M SO SORRY, I REALLY WISH I COULD DESCRIBE THIS BETTER BUT I PAINT WITH ALL THE COLORS OF THE WIND~

Personally I think anyone can proudly like and wear my designs, but I understand varying preferences. But I guess my designs so far have been a little girly, haven’t they? Ahaha, sorry about that! I guess I accidentally designed more girly shirts since I’m a girl, oops. /w\;;
But yes! I’m thinking of maybe making a matching shirt to the Nidoqueen one with a Nidoking version, and I think the phoenix design that I’ve made is a nice gender-neutral design as well! I still have lots more ideas to come, so don’t worry. If anyone has any ideas for more masculine designs, feel free to suggest some as well~!
